Electric Ladyland—initially inspired by Nai Palm’s rendition of “Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland)” by Jimi Hendrix—encapsulates Emma’s pretentious music taste, making her cry in the booth to Jeff Buckley, while also screaming LUCKI bar-for-bar. While this show’s primary purpose is to turn the fuck up, there also exists a strong need to combat current injustices and abuses, both domestically and abroad—as in the words of Maya Angelou, “-no one of us can be free until everybody is free,” and we must all play our part in promoting the freedom of all. In this case, we’ll be enjoying music together, while also occasionally examining and commenting over current events.
